Over the last couple of months, Facebook has been testing a new UI for its upcoming official Android app and bringing some visual elements just like available in its Messenger app. Any user who is using version 9.0 and up of the application definitely be seeing new design or UI. - The beta version will replace the regular Facebook app on your phone.

1. First of all make sure you’re not a Beta Tester of Facebook new app, and if you are, then you need to simply leave the android beta tester group under settings.
2. Now in this step you need to become the member of Alpha group. You can join this Google Group, you need to click on Join Group to be part of this group.
3. Once you become the member of this group you need to download the alpha version of the app from Google Play. You need to click on this link and will take you to Google Play, click “Become a Tester 
and you will get a message i.e. “You are tester now”

4. If you are already using Facebook app on your device, you will receive a test version of Facebook through apps updates. If not you can click on “Download Facebook from the Play Store” and it will take you to the app page.Note: Test versions may be unstable and contain bugs, and can take few hours before the test version is available for you.
5. Download and Log into the Facebook application on your Android device, once the app is installed.
6. Congratulations, you should now have the new flat Facebook UI.
7. At any point you want to leave the test, Again you need to visit this page and click on “Leave Test”.
8. After leaving the test, you need to un-install the test version and re-install the regular version of Facebook from the Play Store.
